Before You Arrive

We know that coming to a wedding—especially one that involves a little travel—can come with plenty of questions. We've put together some of the details you'll need as you plan your visit to Charlevoix, from what to wear and where to stay to what you can expect when you arrive at Castle Farms.

We'll continue adding information here as we get closer to the wedding and finalize the last few details. So if something isn't answered just yet, check back as the date approaches.

Our hope is that this website makes planning for the weekend simple and gives you everything you need in one place. We'll keep the site updated as plans come together and will send along any important updates or additional information as the wedding gets closer.

We encourage you to take a look through the website as you make your plans, as we've created each section with our guests in mind. And if you find that something truly hasn't been covered, you're always welcome to reach out.

  • The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM. We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to allow plenty of time for parking, making your way to the ceremony location, and finding your seat.

  • Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, Michigan.

  • Yes. Complimentary parking is available at the venue. We'll include any additional parking information or directions here as we get closer to the wedding.

  • Our dress code is cocktail or formal attire. We're going for a sophisticated, garden-inspired celebration, so feel free to dress up and enjoy the occasion with us.

  • Our ceremony will take place outdoors, with a rain backup plan in place should the weather have other plans. The reception will be held indoors on the Castle Farms property. Because July in northern Michigan can be beautiful but unpredictable, we'll make sure any important weather-related information is available here before the weekend.

  • Invitations will indicate the guests who are included in our final guest count.

  • We'll indicate on each invitation whether children are included in the guest count. If you have any questions about your invitation, please reach out to us.

  • The reception will conclude at 10:00 PM.

  • We're getting married in one of our favorite parts of Michigan during one of the best times of year to visit. If you're making a trip out of the weekend, we've put together a Things to Do page with some of our favorite places to explore, eat, and visit around Charlevoix and the surrounding area.

  • Yes! If you'd like to give us a gift, you'll find our registry and additional information on the Registry page. Your presence at our wedding is already something we're incredibly grateful for, so please don't feel any pressure to give beyond joining us for the celebration.

  • Please include any dietary restrictions or food allergies when you RSVP. We'll pass that information along to our caterer so they can make appropriate arrangements.

  • We kindly ask that you keep your phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer joining us for the day, and we'd love for them to have an unobstructed view as they capture the ceremony and all of the moments surrounding it.

    Once the ceremony is over, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like! Phones are more than welcome during the reception, and we encourage you to capture the evening, share a few moments, and help us remember the celebration from your perspective.
